Educational Program Information
Education Loan Forgiveness Program
and
Career Advancement Program
The leadership of CVPH Medical Center highly values the importance of career advancement for its employees and those in the community interested in healthcare careers.
CVPH Medical Center is pleased to offer funds to both graduating professionals through the Education Loan Forgiveness Program and to current employees who desire a chance at career advancement/education through the Career Advancement Program (CAP).
The Education Loan Forgiveness Program is designed to help repay student loans for tuition, books and fees in return for a post graduation work commitment at CVPH. The post graduation work commitment equals one year of full time work for every semester paid by the hospital.
In response to the growing need for health care professionals and as a way to remove barriers for our employees who desire a chance at career advancement, CVPH Medical Center began offering CAP in July 2000.
Employees enrolled in CAP are paid 100% for tuition and books as well as a stipend to supplement their income while they train. CAP employees work at CVPH a minimal work schedule while in school. They sign a promissory note agreeing to continue working at CVPH Medical Center one year for every semester of CAP support.
Identified areas of need are frequently reviewed by CVPH and have included job titles such as: Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, Pharmacist, and Radiation Therapist.
