Department: GENERAL ACCOUNTING
This department is made up of four major areas: Payroll, Accounts Payable, General Accounting, and Decision Support. Payroll processes and audits the employment checks, taxes, and various other deductions in a timely and accurate manner. Accounts Payable provides for the prompt and accurate processing of vendor invoices. General Accounting is responsible for the completion of monthly financial statements; annual operating and capital budgets, various monthly and annual surveys and management reports. It also prepares pro formas for new services and income statement for existing services. The Decision Support section is responsible for providing information from the hospital's information system to managers and others as needed.
