R6/Pediatrics provides holistic service using the interdisciplinary approach to the acutely ill Medical/Surgical patient. The primary focus is on orthopedic, neurologically impaired patients and pediatrics. The pediatric unit serves all infant, toddlers, children and young adults. The unit seeks to provide clinical medical/surgical and pediatric expertise, education and support to its patients. There are 35 beds total. 28 beds equipped R6, with 7 private rooms in the south corridor designated as the pediatric unit. There are 43.50FTE's on the unit with a staffing mix of 60% RN, 10% LPN and 30% NA's.
