REQUIREMENTS/DESCRIPTION: High School graduate or GED. Ability to read, write in English and successful completion of a CVPH medical terminology exam required. Previous experience in clerical or receptionist position required; hospital experience or satisfactory completion of order entry training within two weeks of hire required. Able to work independently under stressful conditions and handle multiple interruptions. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple job responsibilities in a timely manner. Willingness to attend and complete CVPH job specific education requirements satisfactorily. Willingness to use positive communication skills while performing job duties. The mission of this unit is to promote cardiac wellness through assessment, monitoring and education in the immediate, intermediate and recovery phase of the critically ill. The unit is comprised of 30 telemetry and six step-down beds. Patients cared for on R3 include those requiring telemetry monitoring, antiarrhthmic and/or vasoacative IV therapy cardioversion, post cardiac catheterization care, and specialized care post CCU/ICU care. The unit is staffed by 54 FTE's comprised of RN, LPN, NA, unit clerk and telemetry technicians. We work in close concert with the outpatient Cardiology programs focusing on cardiac recovery and heart-healthy teaching in our community.
