Cardiac RehabilitationThe American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation certifies the CVPH Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. This means the CVPH program meets and exceeds all national standards for helping heart patients regain good health and independence. CVPH patients can benefit from four phases of rehabilitation that work from the highly structured inpatient portion to near total independence at the fourth phase. Phase two is a closely monitored program offered on campus and overseen by registered nurses, exercise specialists and dietitians. Phases three and four are conducted at the CVPH Rehabilitation and Wellness Center.
HeartSmart Education & Teaching
Prevention and wellness are important components of the overall cardiology service. Along with an extensive educational curriculum made available for patients, the staff conducts numerous community screenings and workshops. The most ambitious undertaking is HeartSmart for Kids, an educational program integrated into the curriculums of many Clinton County junior high schools.
