New MRI Unit

Patients have two choices for their Magnetic Resonance Imaging or MRI studies.

At the main campus, a short-bore or short-tunnel unit uses a small magnet/high power configuration to produce extremely high quality images. Incredibly fast, its capabilities are almost infinite. For instances, images of the heart and blood vessels with high resolution are readily available. Orthopedic studies of the spine and small joints of the body are incredibly detailed. Virtually any MRI procedure can be completed on this unit and because it has a short tunnel, claustrophobia is rarely a problem. Appointments for this unit are made by phoning 562-7340.

Associates in Radiology of Plattsburgh and CVPH Medical Center also offer an ultra open MRI unit at 16 Degrandpre Way, Suite 400 in the Adirondack Professional Commons near Hannaford's and the CVPH Health Plaza. This outpatient facility offers a soothing atmosphere, same day and next day appointments, ample parking, and accepts all insurances honored at CVPH. The MRI unit has the largest diameter opening on all four sides, thus completely eliminating issues related to claustrophobia. For appointments phone 563-1900.
