Birth and Beginnings Education
Looking forward to the joys and rewards of parenthood can be exciting and worrisome. If you know what to expect, what is normal and how to interpret your baby's cues, your role as a parent will be easier and more satisfying.
The Hello BABE classes on parenting and breastfeeding will help you prepare for this special time in your life. The classes were designed by and are lead by registered nurses at the Alice T. Miner Center for Women and Children. You may attend these classes at any time during your pregnancy and/or postpartum period. The following is an outline of the classes.
Preparation for Childbirth

This class should be completed two to three weeks before your due date. Class meets once a week for six weeks. Weekend sessions meet from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, one weekend a month.

Classes meet one evening for six weeks from 7 to 9 p.m.
