Our mission is to promote cardiac wellness through assessment, monitoring and education in the immediate, intermediate and recovery phase of the critically ill.

The unit is comprised of 25 patient rooms, which include 15 private, and 10 semi-private rooms. Each room is equipped with supplies for routine situations with supportive equipment carts for emergency needs. The unit is designed to promote workflow and encourage patient and family interaction. Typically the unit cares for patients ranging in age from young adult to geriatric.

SCOPE OF SERVICE:

1. Patients requiring cardiac monitoring for ECG and SAO2 analysis and trending.
2. Patients requiring cardiac and/or respiratory specialized care.
3. Patients requiring frequent observation, and assessment.
4. Inpatients requiring post-cardiac catheterization care.
5. Patients requiring post-cardiac Intervention Care
6. Patients 24-48 hours post Open Heart Surgery
7. Patients requiring antiarrhythmic and/or vasoactive IV therapy.
8. Patients requiring cardioversion.
9. Patients requiring specific cardiac care post operatively.
10. Patients requiring continue specialized care after discharge from the Critical Care Unit.
