April LaValley Fund

In December of 1997, Mrs. Caroline LaValley announced the creation of the April LaValley Endowment Fund. She said that it was April's wish that money which was donated to her family to assist them with expenses related to April's care should be used for other families battling cystic fibrosis. Income generated by the fund is used to help pay for transportation and lodging expenses incurred by immediate family members who travel to be with a family member receiving care for cystic fibrosis.

Eligibility

Residents of Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties are eligible for consideration. The person for whom medical expenses are incurred must have a diagnosis of cystic fibrosis. Funds are not intended to be used for direct medical expenditures, but rather for expenses associated with travel and lodging of family members or donors.
