Chelsea's Rainbow Fund
In December of 1999, the Kinblom family announced the creation of the Chelsea's Rainbow Fund. Their seven year old daughter, Chelsea, fought a long courageous battle against brain cancer. Friends throughout the North Country contributed to a fund to assist with expenses not covered by health insurance. The Kinblom family wishes to help other families that face similar battles against childhood cancer. Income generated by this fund will be used to help pay for transportation, food and housing expenses incurred by immediate family members who travel with a child receiving care for cancer.
Eligibility
Residents of Clinton, Essex, and Franklin counties are eligible for consideration. Families that have children 18 years old and younger who are battling cancer are eligible for assistance. Funds are not intended to be used for direct medical expenditures, but rather for expenses associates with travel and lodging of family members.
