In December of 2000, Pearlie and Mark Rabin established a fund to assist patients with fundamentals of care at CVPH Medical Center. With a very generous gift, which endowed the fund, they outlined their wish to offer patients who experience financial hardship, services such as essential articles of clothing and other inexpensive incidentals, which might make their stay in the hospital more pleasant.
Throughout the year, CVPH staff takes care of patients who are not able to afford these types of items. In the past, staff members pooled their personal resources and purchased the item or the patient managed without it. The Rabin's generous gift will provide about $3,500 annually, which will assist friends and neighbors from throughout the North Country. The Rabin Fund highlights the generous nature of the Rabin family, who cares deeply about patients who receive care at CVPH Medical Center and about our community.
