Girls Night Out October 15 at The Strand Theatre
Girls Night Out, the Foundation of CVPH’s annual event in recognition of breast cancer awareness month, is planned for Tuesday, October 15 at The Strand Theatre. Shows will be at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. and will feature Debi Guttierez.
Gutierrez is not your run-of-the-mill entertainer or television personality. She refuses to be lumped in with girl comedy or ethnic humor. Instead she speaks of the common threads that describe everyone with a relatable, sharp wit, energy and realism that makes it okay to be human again. During her 19-year career, she’s gone from high school teacher to international performer and is a regular at premier comedy clubs in Los Angeles and around the country. She has also appeared on Style, Lifetime, Showtime and HBO.
Plattsburgh’s Boobie Sisters will perform and a short lecture on breast health and genetics will take place at both shows. The 2013 Boobie Prize will be awarded at the 7:30 p.m. program.
The $15 tickets are available here and at the following locations: General Trading Company, The Party Factory and Champlain Wine Company.
