|The Emergency Care Center at CVPH treats more than 50,000 patients per year. An excellent staff working in a well-designed facility strives to provide quality care and a high degree of patient satisfaction. All patients are triaged upon arrival with a goal of providing prompt and appropriate care with priority given to the most critical patients.
The main portion of the Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day and always has two to three physicians on duty. It serves as the regional trauma center and is equipped and staffed to deal with virtually any situation.
The Fast Track portion of the Emergency Care Center treats the non urgent patients with strains, sprains, aches and pains. The goal is to treat and release Fast Track patients within 90 minutes of arrival. Fast Track hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., every day of the year.
EMT of CVPH is the Medical Center's emergency response arm. Based at CVPH, ambulances are also in service in Peru, Keeseville, Elizabethtown, Chazy, West Chazy and Beekmantown, EMT of CVPH is part of the Clinton County emergency response team. Emergency runs are generated by calling 911.
