Hello BABE (Birth and Beginnings Education)
Looking forward to the joys and rewards of parenthood can be exciting and worrisome. If you know what to expect, what is normal and how to interpret your baby's cues, your role as a parent will be easier and more satisfying.
Preparation for Childbirth Topics of discussion include:
- Fetal Development
- Fitness and Exercise
- Vaginal & Cesarean Birth
- Pain Control
- Breast & Bottle Feeding
- Infant Care
- Maternal Care after Birth
- Tour of the Alice T. Miner Center
These classes should be completed four to five weeks before your due date. They are scheduled once a week for five weeks from 7 to 9 p.m. There is a weekend class scheduled one weekend each month. That class is scheduled from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on both days. Your completed registration form can be emailed (firstname.lastname@example.org) or mailed to the Center for Women and Children.
The Hello BABE breastfeeding class will help you prepare for this special time in your life. The classes are designed and lead by certified lactation consultants. You are encouraged to attend any of the classes offered. You may attend these classes any time during your pregnancy.

- Working while breastfeeding
- Breastfeeding discreetly
The breastfeeding class is free of charge. It is offered one Thursday each month from 6 to 8 p.m.
