Education

Total Joint Replacement Education Program (TJREP)

Total Joint Replacement Education Program (TJREP) is a class CVPH offers free of charge prior to the date of surgery. Once the patient has a scheduled day for surgery, he or she will receive an invitation in the mail for this class. The class is held at CVPH twice a month and lasts for about an hour. During this class, patients and their coach learn about what to expect during and after surgery. Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing and Case Management are all represented to educate the patient on matters related to rehab after surgery, pain control, day to day activities while in the hospital, as well as what options exists for continued care and rehab after leaving the hospital. We will also demonstrate some of the equipment used in your rehab.
