September 16, 2021 | Addressing the HPV Vaccination Gap in our Community

Watch the recorded Microsoft Teams video below and learn why recent data shows the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination rates in Clinton, Franklin and Essex counties are lower than most other counties in NYS and lower than the state Prevention Agenda Goal for HPV vaccination. HPV is a common virus that can cause cancers of the cervix, vulva, vagina, penis, anus or oropharynx. Increasing HPV vaccination rates can lower the incidence of HPV related diseases including HPV related cancers.

Presented by Jana Shaw, MD, MPH Professor of Pediatrics at SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse where she is a practicing pediatrician specializing in infectious diseases and an expert on vaccine-preventable infections.

This educational webinar is offered through a collaborative effort between the CVPH Cancer Care Committee, the American Cancer Society and the NYS HPV Coalition.
