Don’t Delay, Get Screened Today

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed many things in our lives but not the importance of regular cancer screening. Screening for breast, cervical, colorectal, lung and prostate cancers can dramatically improve treatment outcomes and in some cases, prevent the cancers from occurring in the first place.

According to the National Cancer Institute, when detected at its earliest stages and confined to the primary site, the 5 year survival rate for:

  • Breast cancer is 99%
  • Colorectal cancer is 90.6%
  • Lung cancer is 59.8%
  • Prostate cancer is 100%
  • Cervical cancer is 91.9%

If you were one of the many who delayed regular screenings because of the pandemic, it’s important that you resume these potentially life-saving tests. Contact your provider to learn more and schedule your screenings. Health care facilities, clinics and physician offices have put a number of safety measures in place and as the number of COVID-19 vaccinations climbs, taking control of your health by being screened is safer and easier than ever.
