CVPH Electrophysiology focuses on abnormalities of the heart’s electrical system, also known as cardiac arrhythmias.  Dr. Pierre Znojkiewicz, a University of Vermont-trained cardiac electrophysiologist, and Dr. Nicolas Karam are joined by two UVM Medical Center Electrophysiologists, Dr. Robert Lobel and Dr. Joseph Winget, bringing a level of expertise not found in most rural hospitals.

All procedures at CVPH are performed in our dedicated electrophysiology lab with highly trained staff, including:

  • Complex ablations including atrial fibrillation ablation
  • Drug therapy
  • Implantable cardiac devices (pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization or biventricular devices)
  • Electrical cardioversion
  • Tilt testing
