At Your Service - Day or Night
Pediatricians in our community do an excellent job of making sure your kids have access to care, night or day. This commitment to patients means fewer are admitted to the hospital. Should an admission be needed, our Pediatric Service is always available.
Your child’s safety is a priority. Working with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, The Foundation of Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital conducts a loan program to provide car beds for babies under 5 lbs. With a deposit, the car beds are offered to parents to use until baby outgrows them. Funding for the car seat program comes in part from Safe Kids Adirondack, a coalition of community groups who work to prevent unintentional childhood injuries.
- All children discharged from CVPH must ride in an appropriate car seat or booster.
- We recommend that expectant parents have a car seat before their baby is delivered.
- The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department can provide car seats and boosters at little or no cost. They can be reached at (518) 565-4300.
- Routine child passenger safety checks, conducted by certified child passenger safety technicians, are conducted in community. Call the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department for a schedule at (518) 565-4300.
Safe Kids Adirondack also conducts annual bike safety event alternately in Clinton and Essex counties. Education about traffic safety and free bike helmets are included in the event.
