Garden Cafe

The Garden Cafe provides gourmet coffee choices, a grill station, a sandwich station and a chef station.  Other options include our extensive salad bar, pizza station, daily soups and a variety of grab and go items.

Keeping It Local

In the past year, we have increased local usage considerably and continue to promote local and sustainable products.  We pride ourselves on purchasing nearly 20% of our products from local farmers, food producers and processors.  We have a team searching for the local produce to be used in our kitchen.

During the warmer months, CVPH hosts a local farmers market every Thursday in our main lobby.  Feel free to stop by and pick up some fresh, local produce and flowers!  This year, we have over 345 employees participating in the CSA program, which helps support local agriculture.

As the University of Vermont Health Network, in 2014 we supported over 130 businesses and spent over $2 million in food locally. 

Eco-Friendly

CVPH supports Zero-Sort recycling, keeping recyclables out of the waste stream in the kitchen.  We purchase recyclable items whenever available.  As we continue to expand our waste initiatives, we promote the usage of recyclable products such as reusable mugs.  Approximately 17% of CVPH staff use resuable mugs, thus saving in product costs, storage space and eliminating waste.  As a bonus, anyone (staff or visitors) using a reusable mug for a fountain drink or coffee, is only charged the 12oz price.
