Plattsburgh is the home to the CVPH Family Medicine Residency.   As a resident, you will care for your own continuity patient panels over the course of your training.

Plattsburgh is a small community with less than 20,000 people located on the shores of beautiful Lake Champlain. Our Family Medicine Center is the core primary care provider for the community and is a NCQA-certified Patient-Centered Medical Home and a member of the Adirondack ACO.  We have onsite laboratory, behavioral counseling, social work and nutritional counseling.

Family Medicine faculty and residents perform procedures onsite, including laceration repair, casting and splinting, injections, IUD placement, colposcopy, among many other procedures. Computer capabilities at the Family Medicine Center include wireless high-speed internet connections with computerized medical records, medical pharmacologic and coding database as well as medical literature search through the University of Vermont Dana Medical Library. Our faculty and staff provide a truly supportive, family-like environment.
