Medical Village

Conveniently located adjacent to our new Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Unit is the Medical Village. This unique space offers our patients, community and family members the opportunity to prepare for discharge by connecting and networking.

It also provides a central location for a variety of resources that support a smoother transition to outpatient care. The Medical Village offers patients across our organization an in-person, direct connection - whenever possible - to individuals from agencies that will support your success in an outpatient setting to avoid readmission or return to the Emergency Department.

The construction of the new inpatient unit and Medical Village was funded by a $1.95 million grant awarded by New York State Department of Health and New York State Dormitory Authority in 2016 to assist hospitals in transforming health care and creating a seamless and integrative experience for our patients. That same year, the grant was coupled with a $5.2 million match from CVPH and the University of Vermont Health Network to ensure completion.
