Renal Care

Based on statistics compiled by the U.S. government, our renal program is one of the most successful in the United States. This is attributable to a committed and highly qualified staff, modern technology, excellent physician specialists, and a customer-friendly center located at the CVPH Health Plaza. It's no wonder that local residents feel secure with our program and visitors, whom we are only too happy to accommodate, are amazed at our clinical abilities and customer service.

All dialysis treatments are individually tailored and provided on a "prescription only" basis in strict accordance with physicians' orders. The following services are offered:
 

• Hemodialysis (isolation stations available)
• Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis
• Continuous Cycling Peritoneal Dialysis
• Rehabilitation Program
• Comprehensive Education (for patient and family)
• Inpatient Dialysis (R-7 nursing unit at CVPH)

We Offer Two Locations

Our primary site is our 24-station unit at the H.K. Freedman Renal Center , part of the CVPH Health Plaza in Plattsburgh. This facility opened in 1997 and is conveniently located with easy access from I-87. We offer plenty of free, up-close parking and are located across from the region's largest shopping mall for the convenience of those accompanying our patients. We offer the finest water purifying system available and the security of an on-site generator as back up in the event of an electrical outage.

In 1998, we opened a 4-station satellite facility at Elizabethtown Community Hospital in Elizabethtown, New York, 37 miles south of Plattsburgh. We provide the same first class care and customer amenities here.
