Addressing the HPV Vaccination Gap in Our Community
Recent data shows the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination rates in Clinton, Franklin and Essex counties are lower than most other counties in NYS and lower than the state Prevention Agenda Goal for HPV vaccination. HPV is a common virus that can cause cancers of the cervix, vulva, vagina, penis, anus or oropharynx.
Increasing HPV vaccination rates can lower the incidence of HPV related diseases including HPV related cancers While Covid-19 vaccinations are currently at the forefront of our minds, it’s also imperative to not forget about other important vaccinations such as this one.
