Blood Thinners: What You Should Know
Joel Wolkowicz, MD
CVPH Cardiology Medical Director
Blood thinners are medications that are taken orally (or intravenously) to prevent blood clots which can stop the flow of blood to your heart, lungs or brain. For many, blood thinners can help prevent heart attack or stroke. Dr. Wolkowicz will discuss who benefits from this medicine, how it works and and the variety of blood thinners available. There will be ample time for questions and answers.
