 Partnering with local business and community groups, 18 are scheduled

 

PLATTSBURGH, NY (7/31/2019) – Partnering with several businesses, agencies and communities groups, the Adirondack Regional Blood Center is conducting 18 blood drives open to the community this month. Walk-ins are always welcome at The Donor Center, located at 85 Plaza Blvd. Regular hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Here is a list of the August blood drives:

  • Thursday, August 1, Mountain Lake Services, Keeseville, Noon to 4 p.m.

  • Monday, August 5, Miner Institute Chazy, Noon to 3 p.m.

  • Tuesday, August 6, Champlain EMS, 4 to 7 p.m.

  • Thursday, August 8, Black Brook Town Hall, 3 to 7 p.m.

  • Friday, August 9, Behavioral Health Services North, Rt. 22, Morrisonville, Noon to 3 p.m.

  • Monday, August 12, Beekmantown Fire Department, 4 to 7 p.m.

  • Tuesday, August 13, Morrisonville Ambulance Service, 4 to 7 p.m.

  • Thursday, August 15, Peru Knights of Columbus, 5 to 8 p.m.

  • Thursday, August 15, Mooers Fire Department, 3:30 to 7 p.m.

  • Friday, August 16, Clinton County ARC, New York Rd., 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Monday, August 19, Champlain Catholic Men’s Club, held at K of C, 3 to 7 p.m.

  • Thursday, August 22, Cumberland 12 Cinemas, 4 to 8 p.m.

  • Monday, August 26, Peru Fire Department, 3 to 7 p.m.

  • Tuesday, August 27, Keene Fire Department, 3 to 6 p.m.

  • Wednesday, August 28, Burke Adult Center, 9 to 11:30 a.m.

  • Wednesday, August 28, Plattsburgh Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 1:30 to 4 p.m.

  • Thursday, August 29, Adirondack Medical Center, Noon to 5 p.m. (co-sponsored by Assemblyman D. Billy Jones)
     
  • Friday, August 30, CVPH Auditoriums (main campus)10 a.m. to 4 p.m., (co-sponsored by Assemblyman D. Billy Jones)

 

Blood collected by the Adirondack Regional Blood Center stays in the North Country, helping hundreds of people in this region at hospitals in Elizabethtown, Plattsburgh, Malone, Massena, Saranac Lake and Glens Falls. Its success rests on the generosity of donors and sponsors.  

To be eligible to donate blood, a person must be in good health and at least 17 years of age. The minimum weight requirement is 110 lbs. All donors must pass a physical and health history exam conducted at the drive prior to donation. A valid ID is required. Whole blood can be donated once every eight weeks (56 days).
