CVPH, Tobacco Free CFE Team Up to Educate About Vaping
Blowing Smoke on the Rise of Vaping Takes Place September 24

PLATTSBURGH, NY (9/17/2019) – Blowing Smoke on the Rise of Vaping, part of the CVPH Community Lecture Series takes place Tuesday, September 24 at 6 p.m. at the West Side Ballroom, 253 New York Road.  The free program will be presented by Dana Bushey Isabella, program director of the Tobacco Free CFE and Reality Check.

While e-cigarettes are now the most commonly used tobacco product among teens, and many adults have turned to vaping a replacement for traditional cigarettes, concern is on the rise about the health risks associated with them. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warns that e-cigarettes are not safe and New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo recently banned them. Bushey Isabella will discuss these recent developments, how vaping came to be and community efforts to help people quit.

Register for Blowing Smoke on the Rise of Vaping at UVMHealth.org/CVPHLecture or call the CVPH Communications and Engagement Strategies Department at (518) 562-7320.
