CVPH Job Fair Planned for January 8 - Event includes on-the-spot interviews for a variety of positions

The University of Vermont Health Network – Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) is looking for more great people to join its dedicated team of 2,300.  The 300 bed-hospital serving the people of Clinton, Franklin and Essex counties will hold a job fair Wednesday, January 8 from 1 to 7 p.m. in the facility’s Main Lobby.

Applicants will be offered on-the-spot interviews and time with hiring managers, recruiters and team members. Tours of departments will also be available. Representatives from CVPH’s affiliate partners, Alice Hyde Medical Center and Elizabethtown Community Hospital as well as the CVPH School of Radiology Technology will be on site.

“We have a dynamic group of people who come to work every day committed to taking care of our patients and each other. We’re looking for others who share our passion for working together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors in the North Country,” explained CVPH Associate Vice President of Human Resources Thomas Gosrich.  The Job Fair, Gosrich added, will streamline the hiring process and introduce even more people to the benefits and rewards of working in health care.

CVPH is recruiting for the following positions: Environmental Service Workers, Food Service Worker/Patient Service Assistants, Transporters, Front Desk/Reception, Healthcare Access Associates, Resource Specialist, Clinical/Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Operating Room Technicians, Pulmonary Function Technologist, Sonographers, Laboratory Assistants (Phlebotomists), Radiologic Technologist and Mental Health Technicians.

Items that may be beneficial to have at the Job Fair (but not required for participation) include a resume and names and email addresses of references. High school students (16 years or older) may want to have letters of recommendation from their high school Guidance Counselors. “And a list of questions is always a good idea to have for an interview,” Gosrich added.
