COVID-19 Testing Requirement Change
Beginning this Saturday, July 17, anyone seeking a COVID-19 test at the University of Vermont Health Network-Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) COVID-19 Testing Site, located at 295 New York Road in Plattsburgh, must have an order for the test from their health care provider. Patients should also be aware that their insurance will be billed and there may be a co-pay, so they are urged to bring their insurance card when they get tested. Patients get their test results through their Primary Care Provider.
This is a result of New York State ending panedmic-related state of emergency orders last month, which also brings an end to free COVID-19 testing through BioReference Laboratories. We are currently working to establish a plan to ensure anyone who needs to get tested can do so.
The CVPH COVID-19 Testing Site, including pre-procedure testing for COVID-19 only, continues to operate from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. seven days a week.
