Annual Girls Night Out Features the Power of Humor
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Foundation of CVPH presents the 23rd annual Girls Night Out on Tuesday, October 10 at the Strand Theatre. The Power of Humor: Laugh and Grow Rich! featuring Nancy Norton, will take the stage for one performance beginning at 7 p.m.
Norton draws from a lifetime of experience. A single mom, she worked many years as a registered nurse, and she shares hilarious, insider healthcare anecdotes that will leave guests in stitches. Norton currently appears on Amazon Prime Video. She has also been featured on a variety of TV showcases, including “Evening at the Improv” on A&E, “Nickmom Night Out” on Nickelodeon, and in her one-woman show, “The Yellowish-Green Girl” on PBS.
Dr. Aron Steward, Chief of Psychology at The University of Vermont Health Network-Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH), will speak about thriving instead of just surviving. And NBC5 News Anchor Alice Kang will serve as master of ceremonies.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by visiting the Strand’s website. Ticket holders can make it a true Girls Night Out thanks to the support of the following local restaurants, which are offering a 10% discount for dinner prior to the show:
