Heart Health the Focus of Foundation of CVPH Fundraiser
Community members are invited to “rock their red” and make a difference for the women in their lives by attending The Foundation of Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital’s (CVPH) “Stepping Out For Your Heart” fundraiser. The ninth annual event is scheduled for Thursday, February 8 at the West Side Ballroom.
Each year, guests dressed in red attire come together for a special evening dedicated to raising funds and awareness to end heart disease and stroke for all women. Live and silent auctions, education and a heart healthy dinner are just some of the main attractions in store for attendees.
“It is inspiring to hear from survivors each year, and you can truly learn something that may ultimately save your life or the life of a loved one, friend or neighbor. And just by stepping out and showing your support during a night like this, you can touch the lives of thousands of people across the region who are relying on the excellent care our cardiology teams provide,” Foundation of CVPH Events and Special Projects Manager Michelle Senecal points out.
The event features a breakout education session with Deb Kampschror, Senior Physician Assistant in Invasive Cardiology at CVPH. She will present “The Facts About Women and Heart Disease.” Keynote Speaker Seema Lodha, MD, a cardiologist at CVPH, will help attendees understand how the symptoms for heart disease are different for women.
Tickets for “Stepping out for Your Heart” cost $65 each. There is a special senior citizen price (65 and older) of $50 each. Tickets can be purchased online at UVMHealth.org/CVPHHeart. Proceeds from the event will benefit the CVPH Heart Center and will directly impact the care of cardiology patients in the North Country. For more information, contact Michelle Senecal at (518) 314-3359 or email her at msenecal@cvph.org.
The Foundation would also like to recognize Lisa Lewis, who is the Event Chair for “Stepping Out For Your Heart,” and Monaghan, which is the Presenting Sponsor for the event.
