CVPH Summer Concert Series Continues With Hang Tight
The second act of The University of Vermont Health Network – Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital’s (CVPH) annual Summer Concert Series takes place Thursday, August 1 from 6-7:30 pm, weather permitting. The free musical event on the hospital’s front lawn features Hang Tight.
The Plattsburgh-based group includes Jay Lesage, Jeff Rendinaro, Dale Derusha and Russ Hartung. Lesage is a full-time professional musician who trained at SUNY Plattsburgh and The Berklee School of Music in Boston. Rendinaro, considered a world-class harmonica player by many, has played as a guest at the Montreal Jazz Festival. Derusha has played bass in numerous bands over the past half-a-century. And Hartung, a drummer with more than 50 years of playing under his belt, has played on albums for The Only Motions and Pure Blue.
People can also enjoy an ice cream sundae bar for $3 per person, with the proceeds going to The Foundation of CVPH’s Janice McLean Fund. The program was established to support hospital employees in crisis.
Parking is conveniently located at the CVPH Medical Office Building on the Main Campus near the front lawn at 206 Cornelia Street. Lawn chairs and picnic blankets are welcome. No alcohol, smoking or glass containers are permitted.
