Comedian Judy Carter Brings Laughter to the Strand Theatre October 15

PLATTSBURGH, NY (9/17/2024) – The public is invited to join The Foundation of Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) for a heartwarming and hilarious evening dedicated to women’s wellness.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Foundation presents the 24th annual Girls Night Out on Tuesday, October 15 at the Strand Theatre. Laughter IS the Best Medicine! featuring comedian Judy Carter will take the stage beginning at 7 pm.

Carter uses relatable humor and inspiring stories to help the audience discover how laughter can be a powerful remedy for stress, anxiety and the everyday challenges of life. She went from playing Las Vegas as a headlining standup comic to becoming an in-demand motivational speaker. Carter has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, CNN and as a frequent contributor to NPR’s “All Things Considered.” She is also the international best-selling author of “The Comedy Bible.”

“Judy’s performance is the perfect prescription for a happier, healthier you,” says Michelle Senecal, Events and Special Projects Manager for The Foundation. “So, bring your friends and get ready for an evening of laughter, fun and rejuvenation.”
