Annual Candlelight Vigil Planned for December 6 at CVPH
The Foundation of CVPH joins nationwide remembrance event
PLATTSBURGH, NY (11/12/2024) – The Foundation of Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) will honor loved ones during its annual candlelight vigil at the Circle of Healing and Hope on the hospital’s front lawn. The ceremony is set for Friday, December 6 at 4 pm.
During the ceremony, names of loved ones who have passed away will be read. Former CVPH employees and volunteers who have died will also be remembered.
The Angel of Hope is the centerpiece of the ceremony, based on the angel statue in Richard Paul Evan’s novel, “The Christmas Box.” The statue at CVPH was the 102nd of its kind in the United States. Every location that includes an Angel of Hope is committed to holding a candlelight ceremony each year on December 6 to provide people in the community with an opportunity to remember their loved ones. Similar events are being held at more than 120 locations across 39 states, as well as sites in Ontario, Canada and Japan.
The ceremony is open to everyone and will be held outside, regardless of the weather. Please plan accordingly. To learn more about the Circle of Healing and Hope, visit The Foundation’s website.
