Translation Services
CVPH offers interpreter and translation services for the hearing-impaired and limited English proficiency patients.
CVPH is dedicated to providing the best possible care to patients. Being able to communicate with your provider and members of our staff is of the utmost importance in patient safety and quality of care. For this reason, CVPH uses the CyraCom/VRI (Video Remote Interpreter) and CyraCom language line for hearing-impaired or deaf patients as well as for Limited English Proficiency (LEP) patients.

Patients have the right to:
- Request a medical interpreter anytime, even if they speak limited English, this should not be decided by hospital staff
- Use or refuse the CVPH Interpreter system, face-to-face or over the phone
Language Interpretive Services offered at CVPH include:
- Cyracom VRI (Video Remote Interpretation) – Skype type sign language interpretation
- Patient telephone with Braille - call x0 to obtain a Braille phone for a patient room
- 24-hour language interpreter line, free of charge, in the following languages:
