The 2018 Junior Volunteer Program

Each year the Junior Volunteer Program offers an opportunity for the youth of our community to get a firsthand look at healthcare while giving back to their community. Our program offers an in-depth, behind the scenes look at healthcare, while providing an opportunity for the students to give back to their community.  Juniors enroll in one of our two three-week sessions. Junior Volunteers descend upon the  UVMHN-CVPH campus where they receive a first-hand look at all our facility has to offer. You will have opportunities to meet and observe many professionals in action. If you are particularly interested in a career in health care, you will see first hand what it takes to make it in this environment. Who knows, you may even decide this is the career field for you!

The first session takes place July 9th through July 27th. The second session takes place July 30th through August 17th. Each session will include a one week orientation with presentations and demonstrations from various departments. The remaining two weeks will be spent volunteering in these departments.

The Junior Volunteer Program application process is now closed. The deadline was May 25th 2018. The next application period will begin in the spring of 2019.
