When the book or article you need is not readily available through our collections, library staff have several other options for acquiring it for you. This includes obtaining it from another institution or purchasing it from the publisher. We participate in the National Library of Medicine's DOCLINE interlibrary loan and document delivery program. In most cases, articles are sent right to your email. Document delivery services will be provided in accordance with copyright regulations. We also network with the Northern New York Library Network (NNYLN), a consortium of more than 50 academic, hospital, public, special and other libraries around the region to borrow and lend materials.
The medical librarian can perform specialized, in-depth literature searches of the professional medical literature using National LIbrary of Medicine's PubMed, UpToDate, Cochrane Library, CINAHL and other databases. Results can be sent right to your email.
