When Cancer Invites Itself To Dinner, February 28

Chef Curtiss Hemm, founder and director for Pink Ribbon Cooking, will lecture on Thursday, February 28 at 6 p.m. in the West Side Ballroom (253 New York Road) on how to cook and prepare healthy meals. When Cancer Invites Itself to Dinner is part of the CVPH Community Lecture Series sponsored by the Foundation of CVPH.

Hemm, the former Dean of Culinary Arts at the New England Culinary Institute, will share his family’s struggle with cancer after his wife was diagnosed. He will discuss how a healthy diet and nutrition can help heal both the body and soul. Guests are encouraged to bring recipes and any questions they might have about how food can help with the healing process.

The Foundation is pleased to partner with Pink Ribbon Cooking in efforts to fund renovations to the patient rooms on the oncology nursing unit at the Medical Center. Pink Ribbon Cooking is donating $5 from each eCookbook and $60 from each annual online membership.
