The CVPH Heart Center performs a broad spectrum of surgical, minimally invasive, endovascular and medical treatments available for patients with a wide variety of vascular problems (diseases and disorders affecting the arteries and veins), including arterial occlusive disease, arterial aneurysms and venous disorders.
According to the American Heart Association, approximately eight million people are affected by peripheral artery disease (PAD), the most common of a series of vascular conditions. Nearly 75% will never exhibit symptoms, or mistake the symptoms for something else. Unfortunately, people with PAD are at higher risk for stroke or heart attack if the condition is left untreated (American Heart Association).
Our staff includes vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, dedicated nurses and technologists. Our interventional radiologists and surgeons use the most sophisticated technologies, often employing minimally invasive techniques to treat vascular problems. These less invasive methods result in fewer complications, less time spent in the hospital, and faster recoveries.
Our comprehensive medical/surgical and minimally invasive treatment includes:
- Blocked or narrowed arteries
- Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD)
- Renal / Splenic / Mesentric Artery Disease
- Hemodialysis Access
- Vein Conditions
